The snap cam goes Dancing with Lesley and Brett

The snap cam made it's way to the apartment of Lesley and Brett in NYC. You may remember them from their NYC photo date last month... anyway, let's peek into their lives.. wanna?!
Lesley has just come off of a whirlwind of three bridal showers! These little cookies were her favors at one of them.

Her friends made her a scrap book- and the page at the bottom was made by her mom. Lesley- you were such a cutie!

Brett's mom is a mad gardener and created this a garden for them on their balcony. Let me know when those tomatoes are ready guys- I'll be over for a salad!

Lesley and Brett at dance class! Can't wait to see their moves at the wedding in June! Who's that on the right? Their dance teacher.. Naza. I think I may want to brush up on some of my moves- ha-ha.

Here is Brett- he is a renaissance man. He cooks chicken and couscous and also takes care of all the home improvement projects- NICE!

This is Stewie- Brett is a big fan of family guy.He was a gift to Brett from Lesley in 2006- wow, that's a long life for a fish.

That was a big day- time to relax with a little vino. Lesley and Brett are big wine enthusiasts, they even got engaged at a vineyard in the Finger Lakes.

Thanks for sharing your day with us guys! See you in 3 weeks!!!!

Snap Cam runs the Boston Marathon... (kind of)

Posted by Mariah:

Meet Eileen! She's my bride, getting married on November 19th Woo-hoo! Eileen just ran the Boston Marathon- she's ambitious isn't she? I was excited when I found out she was running and asked if her fiancee Doug wouldn't mind taking the snap cam along... Here's Eileen picking up her bib number!

This is Eileen and her friend Shawn... he's also her running buddy. They ran together with the L Street running club in South Boston for the last 18 Sundays!

Here's Eileen 100 yards from the finish! She's in pink- She looks so happy!

...and there she goes. I think she's going to make it!

She did it and her time was 4:34! Here's Eileen showing off her medal and staying warm in her sweats...

This is the cheering squad- Doug's dad & sister, Eileen's sister and Doug's mom!

What a support system!

Here's a little excerpt from the email Eileen wrote me about her adventure...

"The experience was truly amazing and seeing Doug in the crowd got me through, but I was 100 yards from the finish and could not stop to give Doug and my family a big hug like I wanted. I was nervous if I stopped I would not be able to start running again! I wish I could have taken the snap cam with me for the run to capture the moments, but the snap cam hung out with Doug at the finish line waiting for me to finish!"

Last but not least- here's Luna. She was company for Eileen on her weekday runs, although Eileen says anything over 5 miles and Luna was all set- Eileen was on her own!

Thanks for sharing this awesome experience with us- Doug, I am sorry that there are no pictures of you... but that is the plight of the photographer- you are never photographed!

Not to worry, I'll take plenty of shots of you soon!

The snap cam Easter Extravaganza in Old Saybrook

Posted by Mariah:
Katie and Steve had the snap cam next... just in time for the arrival of the Easter Bunny/Baby. This is Braydon, Katie's nephew... isn't he the cutest? The Keefe family celebrated Easter at home in Old Saybrook with lots of yummies...

Katie and Steve giving the Easter Baby a little snuggle...

Even the Goose is getting into the Easter spirit. Katie's big sister makes an appearance too! Hi Erin! (Melissa and I photographed Erin and Doug's wedding last October). I love Sally's expression in the background. I hear Sally put on quite a delicious Easter feast for the whole clan...

Here's Steve and Aggie... (Katie's canine niece)
I think maybe Steve is trying to get her to wear the bunny ears too.

Braydon and grandpa having a little quality snuggle time. I think they are telling each other jokes in this photo... did you hear the one about the baby and the dirty diaper?

These are Katie's cousins from Ireland before the big Easter egg hunt...

Lookout! Steve is stealing your eggs! Pretty sneaky using the snap cam as a distraction.

Sure, he looks innocent and sweet washing the dishes but actually he is a candy thief.

Guess Katie saved the biggest chocolate egg for herself!

Thanks for sharing your weekend with us! See you all on the 9th! (mariah & giggles)

Snap Cam is swept away to Michelle and Mark

The snap cam is back from its visit with Michelle and Mark.

It arrived just in time! Michelle's mom was visiting for a fun filled weekend of wedding planning!

The first photos were of Mark and this cuddly dog, Cotton. Michelle mentioned that Mark doesn't like cameras so I'm not going to torture him. I want to get on his good side since I will be in front of him with my huge camera someday.
Mark may not like to have his photo taken but he was still in on the snap cam antics. He wanted to make sure Michelle documented the exciting things that she does... Statistics for hours and hours!!!

Michelle is working on her Master's thesis. She told me - and I quote - "I am studying the invasive reed, Phragmites australis, and am looking at the effects of nutrient additions on invasiveness". I think she might be smart...

While Mark wanted to take photos of stats Michelle wanted a ring shot!

Off for a morning stroll with Cotton

Michelle claims she is not a plant person, but she took an awful lot of plant photos. What made her take so many flower photos then? Since Michelle said it so nicely I'll quote her again.
"Amusingly enough I'm not a plant person. Rather it is the potential of spring that gets me... There is a potential ready to be expressed, ready to burst forth... Soon the world will be busy. But for now we are holding our breath in anticipation"

Isn't she lovely? Well said, Michelle.
I think this photo perfectly illustrates what Michelle said. I love this picture! It's a magnolia starting to bloom.

Here's Michelle's cutie pie nephew!

Off to the florists, Lynda Sutton! Here's Michelle's mom holding one of the nautilus shells Michelle and Mark will be using for the unity sand ceremony. Now if they can figure how to keep them standing throughout the ceremony!

Here are some pics of Michelle's parents' summer home in Jamestown. I'm guessing this is where Michelle's love of the ocean started. It will also be the location of the "rehearsal lunch" and our photodate next month. I can't wait to see it when it's warmer and in top form!

Last stop - the Conanicut Yacht Club to check in on the post wedding brunch! Whew!

Thanks for this little peak into your life! Happy wedding planning!

Snap!-cam visits D.C. with Nicholas and Allison

So not only are these guys super cute, but they will be on the blog next week too because their wedding is this weekend!!!!

This is actually our second attempt at the snap-cam with them. The first camera came back with no photos on the card which was very sad because they did some cute things. But luckily they were being cute again for some more great pix!

This is the building where Nicholas works, he is a curator for the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery, this is an example of French second Empire architecture. Not a bad place to go to work everyday!

Here is the view from the office, they had great seats for the inauguration!

For the weekend they were off to the U of Delaware because Nicholas was speaking at a symposium at Winterthur. This also happens to be the very place that these two first met!

Then off to Longwood Gardens for a belated birthday for Allison. This is a Dupont Estate just over the border of Pennsylvania, a favorite of Allison's. Apparently she is quite knowledgeable about all things flowers!

Here she is modeling what a magnolia in her hair might look like, we'll find out this weekend! Although that one will probably not be attached to a tree, at least I hope not...

Nicholas in the conservatory...Or was is Allison in the library with a candlestick?

Enjoying the topiaries...risking life and limb for a funny shot! That's what I like to see. Wait til you see what I make you do on the wedding day Nicholas...

Just relaxing after a long day of fun...aww.

Before they left Nicholas had to stop by his favorite car wash to get the ride ready for the drive up to Newport this week. You can't transport your bride in a dirty car!

They finally came home to find Blue the cat ready for some serious belly rubbing.

Last but not least is the battle of the harmless animal mascots. Delaware is the Fighting Blue Hen and Maryland is the Terrapin Turtle and I guess you should just know to be afraid of it! So since they went to U Delaware and now Allison works at U Maryland it only seems natural that there should be a fight between the two 'feared' animals to see which one is tougher. Nicholas and his Dad have gotten such a kick out of this so they bought them some t-shirts to make it official.

Thanks for taking us all along on your weekend getaway. Looking forward to seeing you this weekend for the big day! See you then...

Trish

The snap cam visits Lauren and Jeff

Okay...so for our latest snap-cam edition we have the lovely Lauren and Jeff coming at you all the way from Boston, yay! They are getting married in May, it won't be long now. Their wedding is going to be at the Seaport Hotel in Boston which I am really looking forward to! I (Trish) met them last summer at Melissa and Steve's wedding, Lauren was a bridesmaid! So soon it will be her turn...

Their apartment is upstairs from this fab restaurant. I think that all those aromas would be hard to deal with, I would always be hungry!

What a gorgeous winter scene. It's so Boston!

Lauren's favorite statue in the Boston Public Gardens, right near their house.

Coming in for a close up, excellent camera work!

The snow falling is so great, it's just so, so wintery!

Oooh Jeff, love the composition in this one!!!

As much as I like to complain about the winter, it is pretty magical...

Thanks guys, can't wait to see you in the Spring, minus the wool hats!
