Block Island Wedding Photography...Kristy and Jamie at the Sullivan House, Part 3

Posted by Mariah:

I can't even recall how many times I have ridden my bike past this spot and thought, "What a perfect place to put a bride and groom..." Unfortunately, it's just never worked out for me, and I pedal on by with a sad little sigh...
I asked Kristy if there were any places in particular on BI that she wanted to stop for photos and guess what she said?

When we came out of the church it was raining, Kristy and Jamie got into my car and Kristy said, "So, what do we do just go back to the Sullivan House?"
I said, "NO! We can't do all your photos on a porch! How do you feel about getting slightly damp?"

Worth every hair wrecking sprinkle if you ask me...

Love it.

The dunes, the rain, and 3 inch jimmy choo's... no problem for this bride!

Some sweet pix by Lisa who also braved the rain and sand...

Now that's Block Island.

Meanwhile, our bridal party is safe and dry and ready for pictures back at the reception.

Loving the map/guestbook idea.

It may be grey outside, but inside the tent it's all sunshiney.

Is that the sun trying to come out?

I love this road leading up to the SH.

Let the wild rumpus begin!

Boys vs. girls... no clear winner.

More cow bell!

Clearly a couple who knows how to have fun together! Not bad little singers either!

Kristy and Jamie- thanks for a totally memorable trip to the Block. I'll think of you every time I ride by Mitchell's Farm! You were fun and sweet and great little photo-ers! Thanks for being adventurous and working it in the drizzle. You're the best! xoxoxox Mariah

Block Island Wedding Photography...Kristy and Jamie at the Sullivan House, Part 2

Posted by Mariah:

Kristy and Jamie started visiting Block Island together a few years ago, and like many other people fell in love with it's rustic seaside charm. They decided on the Sullivan House for their wedding. I love the SH, it really feels like summer vacation.
Kristy's Monique Lhuillier dress....

ooooo- Jimmy Choo.

One of my favorite things about the SH is this fabulous porch that is covered in beach rocks. I thought it would make a perfect spot for a photo of the rings. I had them placed perfectly, and then had a panic attack when I pictured them rolling off the stone and into one of the cracks in the porch. I literally panicked, my legs got all jelly and my chest got tight. I snapped this photos and then quickly put them back in their boxes. (Disclaimer: the rings were actually safe the whole time, I just had an irrational moment).

When I took this photo, I also got shortness of breath, but in a good way this time.

I love this vintage-ness of this photo. It looks like it belongs hanging in the SH.

My lovely second shooter, Lisa captured this shot of Kristy. Classic.

Time for a few quick photos before the ceremony.

Kristy and the MOH, also her sister.

All the ladies, I am crazy for their dresses and necklaces.

Hello, Gorgeous!

A little fun with the veil.

All time BI fav photo #1.

Let's not forget Jamie waiting patiently at the church. How cute is he?

Marriage-d.

Their priest is a family friend and came all the way to BI to marry them.

Hurray! Mr and Mrs!

Coming up next... Kristy braves the rain and goes umbrella-less! Now that's photo determination. She is my kind of girl.

Who doesn't like Block Island?! It's such a relaxing and beautiful place, everyone is so friendley and in a good mood. It's a place that you can't help being relaxed in, especially if the ferry's shut down, you have to go with it. Luckily Emily and Joe had a beautiful weekend and a good time was had by all and the ferrys were running as scheduled...

Emily and Joe at the Sullivan House on Block Island

Posted by Trish:

So here we are back at Emily and Joe's awesome wedding...the whole gang. This photo really captures the feel of the Sullivan House and Block Island, vintage and relaxed.

The new family...how beautiful are these girls. Their enthusiasm was fabulous!

Joe's family...

Emily's family....

So the details in the tent will knock your socks off! Cherese Rambaldi at Honour of Your Presence worked tirelessly to make everything fabulous. Here is the menu card...

She did an amazing job!!!

Every seat had the flower detail!

Coming in and seeing all of this was definitely a wow moment!

Each box was made by the bride's mom and sister who own a custom favor box company called 'Passion for Details'. They do some amazing things!

More great flowers from Joanne Gilmartin at Mums Flowers!

The kids table...I wanted to sit there! So fun....

I had never met Cherese before, but she seems to have outdone herself on this one!

Let the party begin!

Their first dance....

So sweet, Joe is very attentive and kind.

...and he even has some spiffy moves on the dance floor too!

She is such a beauty, I can't stop taking her photo, who even knows what else is going on...

Oh, the toasts. Here's her Dad with lots of nice things to say about his daughter.

Cheers!

Her sister Elizabeth trying not to cry too much!

There's the mom Susan, looking at Emily in such a sweet way. I believe that she is very proud of her daughters! And relieved that everything came together!

Sisters. So sweet!

I'm so crazy for this photo I don't even know what to say about it. I think it speaks for itself!

So does this.

Emily found these super cute customized cake toppers on Etsy.com, how fabulous!

Very civilized cake cutting ceremony, and of course the traditional kiss.

Emily danced with her Dad and got a little bit of help from the flower girl with her veil, so cute! What a dream day for a little girl, right?!

Then Joe had a really fun dance with each of his daughters, they are were great dancers!

Everyone! I was perched up on a ladder, on a hill to get this shot...and I luckily lived to post this photo!

After the wedding everyone was going to hit the beach for a bonfire. This is where they picked up a little candle to light their way...

And flip flops and canvas tote with a fleece blanket to stay cozy. They thought of everything!

The happiness continues...

These lamps had little lights in them that started to show once the sun went down, very chic!

The Boss Band from Boston was fantastic!

A full moon, what a gorgeous night they had!

Friends and Family...be sure to sign up on Pictage to see all of the photos when they are posted online. Enjoy!
