New York City Wedding Photography, Elizabeth + Taber

Posted by Mariah, Photos by Mariah:

Last in our series of photodates in NYC, but certainly not the least... Taber and Elizabeth! Ta-da!

There's just something about these two... Taber has that devilish twinkle in his eye and you never know quite what he's going to say. Liz is just well, va-va-voom! I'd give my left eye (not my right because I focus with that one) to be as vivacious and gorgeous as Liz. Want to feel dull? Just stand next to Liz. (Taber is the exception of course).

Some pretty handsome posing going on here...

I love this photo! Doesn't Liz just seem like someone you'd want to be friends with?

Spicey.

We met Taber and Liz at the Conservatory Garden at the north end of Central Park. What an amazing place! It's there favorite spot in the park... a hidden little gem. Quiet, breezy, shaded... perfect!

Romantical.

Right after this shot, I said... "okay, now do a little nuzzling."

Taber was like, "What?!"

He had never heard that expression before, he's originally from the Dominican Republic (LOVE it). Anyway, he said... "Give me a break, English is my second language. I still don't understand the expression, you can't have your cake and eat it too. If it's your cake why can't you eat it?"
Good question, that is a dumb expression.

How about this expression?
Muy caliente!

A-ha! Nuzzling!

When I saw this wall of white flowers I was so excited. It's so ethereal.

So sweet. My fav.

No trouble being in love for these guys, although Taber admits he shys away from PDA most of the time, especially when there's a camera nearby.

How dreamy is this little path?

How about those legs?

Taber popped the question unexpectedly when Liz exclaimed impatiently one day..."We'll probably never get married!" Taber, quick on his feet grabbed the ring he had already purchased and hidden and said..."We will if you say yes!"
Ooooh, goosebumps!
T & L, It was such a blast to meet you guys in the city. We need to come back so you can show us around for the best food! Next time....

Dana and Mark in Central Park, NYC

Posted by Mariah, Photos by Trish:
This was a fitting spot to begin our shoot with Dana and Mark because this is where they got engaged! Awwwh.... Pretty impressive of Mark, rowing around the pond while composing his proposal! Talk about multi-tasking.

Luckily, Mark managed not to capsize them despite any nervousness he was probably feeling at the time.

Trish spied this "mini meadow." I love how in this photo you can see we are still in the park among the people...

But where are we in this one? Wild flower field in Alaska?

Nope! Still Central Park. It was fun to try to find special spots for each couple... I think this spot with the little blue flowers was perfect for Dana and her amazing blue eyes.

Right? Because after all, as Mark said, those blue eyes are the reason he chose her! Good thing he lucked out and she has a sweet personality too. (oh, and shampoo commercial hair too!)

Love this one.

Sweet.

I have a feeling these guys are always clowning around together. I like that, I think it's the secret to success.

Being romantical helps too.

Here's Mark hogging the attention... he says he can't help it because he's an only child. Mark- order this photo for your mother, she'll love it!

There, that's more like it.

Just over one month till the wedding! Time flies when you are just lying around!

Ooooooh. Pretty.
Mark + Dana- Thanks for being so much fun. I am disappointed that Mark wouldn't row us around the pond. I guess one overpriced, long wait in line is enough! Can't say I blame him. The wedding is going to be fabulous! xoxo Trish & Mariah

Maria and Nick in Central Park, NYC

Posted by Mariah, Photos by Mariah:

Maria and Nick were a bit of a mystery to me, as we had never met in person. Imagine my delight to find these two waiting for me! I was excited to have such enthusiastic subjects.

Often, the bride is totally into the photodate while the groom is a shall we say... a little reluctant. Not the case with Nick! He was ready, willing, and gave it his all. I think you'll agree that the photos reflect this. He was teasing Maria and told him it was the two shots of whiskey he had before they left the house. I am not one to advocate for drinking whiskey, but hey if it will loosen you up for photos, whatever! (For the record- Nick was sober and no photographers were harmed during the making of this photodate.)

This photo was nearly impossible to get, there were so many people in the park.

Nick and Maria have known each other since high school. They were just friends back then...

Their relationship blossomed when Nick went abroad and Maria found herself jealous of the fun (and dates) he was having without her. Turns out this was all part of Nick's master plan to win her over!

Nick is a smart guy & patient... and he ended up with the girl.

Nicely done.

Maria seems pretty happy with her decision to be "tricked!"

Nick is practicing his first dance moves here...

Fred and Ginger have nothing on these guys...

This is my favorite shot. Love everything about it.

Romantical!

Nothing like strolling with your sweetie.

Honestly, I practically had to give no direction to these guys. They are naturals!

Can't wait to see you guys tie the knot!
Nick- You were a first rate subject, I may have you do a blog post about "how to show you are totally in love with your fiancee." Maria is a lucky girl! Maria- I hope you love the photos, you look beautiful! Hugs, Mariah & Trish
