The Reinado Internacional del Café (International Queen of Coffee) beauty pageant, was internationally launched in 1957, in order to allow for the participation of countries from America and other continents. The pageant has always been held in Manizales, Colombia, in January during the Feria de Manizales, and is organized by Instituto de Cultura y Turismo de Manizales annually. More than 20 contestants participate every year.

Ángela Julieta Ruiz Pérez, is a Venezuelan model and a pageant titleholder (born October 4, 1989, in Maturín, Venezuela) who represented Monagas state in the Miss Venezuela 2010 pageant, on October 28, 2010, and won the title of 1st runner up. She stands 1.80 m (5'11") and is a Industrial engineering student.
Ruiz won the Super Model of Venezuela 2009 pageant, and was the official representative of Venezuela in the Ford Models Supermodel of the World 2010 pageant held in Brazil in January, 2010.
